Description
?Most realistic and practical silicone face to transform your sim-man for more engaging simulation training.
- Old Amos suffers from dementia and lives in a care facility. Recently he had an operation at his neck to have a small tumor removed. Unfortunately the wound is not healing well and it needed to be cleaned out and stitched up again.
Old Amos has a partial bald head. Eyebrows, lashes and sideburns are punched in the silicone for added realism. He has a wound flap in his neck where the tumor was removed. This flap can be sutured with a round needle. Coagulated blood can be added and the area can be bruised up with eyeshadow powders. A bloodline is inserted at the back coming out in the wound area to create a hematoma. Blood can be pushed through with a syringe. One can also opt to have the wound infected by adding pus to the wound.
The neckwound can be cleaned out with swabs and alcohol or other sanitising products. It can be dressed and pressured. The skin around the wound can be injected to numb the area.
Amos can also be ordered without neckwound (choose variant)
MEDICFX facial overlays, are created with a very soft and durable Silicone. They are designed to fit most manikins; this particular face will fit best on the Laerdal Sim Man.
Each face has been hand-painted by our FX artists, to create an original and realistic design.
Our overlays have a convenient strap with Velcro at the back, so putting the face on the manikin is very easy. [no pulling over the manikin head is required] It is also less claustrophobic for SP.
MEDICFX facial overlays, add realism in your simulation training. Making scenarios more believable and engaging. It also assists with overcoming age, gender and racial bias.
Our facial overlays can be worn by Standard Patients as well, depending on the face shape of the wearer. Scenarios can be extended by moving from a SP to a manikin using the same facial overlay.
This surgical product comes with:
Care instructions.
Inserted bloodline
coagulated blood gel
syringe
A display head may be purchased for storage.
We cater to custom designs and each face can be created in various skin tones, different wigs, and paintwork. We can add operable features to certain face designs as well.
Care instructions:
Please treat the facial overlay as you would do any real human face.
Do NOT pull on any hair.
Store the face out of direct sunlight and in a cool environment.
You can brush the hair, but stay away from the very edge as these areas have been hairpunched and are fragile.
As Silicone is an oil based product, it may become a little shiny over time. Wipe off any oily residue with Isopropyl Alcohol. Dry with hairdryer. You can use the included translucent powder [cosmetic loose powder] and brush this over shiny areas.
Keep away from lips and eyes as we like to keep those glossy.
If, in the most unlikely case, you might need to repair the face, this can be done with a Silicone Repair kit.
The face can be washed with warm soapy water and disinfected with Iso Alcohol. If necessary the hair can be washed with warm water and a little shampoo/ conditioner, air dry or use a hairdryer on a low setting.
